Here's GoBotany! https://gobotany.nativeplanttrust.org/
Elisa Margarita
01:04:38
Is it possible on the sample picture branches to circle the buds and have a key that would label what each bud is?
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:05:30
Elisa: We can create a powerpoint like that (with labeled pictures), if that would be a helpful resource.
Pamela M. Snow
01:05:32
Addressing Elisa's question now but we don't know how to do arrow right now
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:05:47
Not possible in Zoom, but we can follow up with that resource!
Elisa Margarita
01:05:57
Thank you!
Barbara
01:07:49
Is location along branch / twig also recorded? As in - which positions are leafing out earlier?
Elisa Margarita
01:09:18
Does the flower die back or drop off and get replaced by leaves eventually?
Barbara
01:10:31
(The red marks are showing up, if you are wondering.)
Lori Primavera
01:10:40
Pam, if you go to the top of the screen and go to view options and the drop down window will have "Annotate" which allows use tools on the screen. I am new to ZOOM too.
Greta Maureen VanScoy
01:12:31
The buds protocol advises counting buds from terminal bud (skip that one for numbering) and then number to 6. Otherwise, we don't typically keep track of position on branch.
Colleen Casey
01:16:47
Will the closure slides be available?
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:17:02
YEs, we'll make the slides available to all!
Elisa Margarita
01:20:19
Are we entering home data onto HF database
Elisa Margarita
01:21:16
The first Elm tree had these seeds all over and was just taken.
Barbara
01:21:16
Elisa - the rope is to catch a branch and bend it closer?
Elisa Margarita
01:21:46
Yes I used rope to bring branch closer to take pictures.
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:22:50
Elisa: no, unfortunately we're not entering home data into the HF database
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:23:20
But certainly if teachers go to the school to collect data from school trees, that should be entered!
Barbara
01:23:23
Thank you so much for this presentation! This is delightful!
Elisa Margarita
01:23:39
What if we are taking data from our sites? Do we enter that data?
Clarisse Hart (HFR)
01:23:46
Yes!
