Hi everyone! My name is Trinity - I am the current Rural Case Writing Fellow at EdRedesign and a 2022-2023 Graduate Student at Harvard Grad School of Education. I was also a rural student during my Pre-k to HS education

43:06
You can dig more into the five building blocks in the full case: https://edredesign.org/files/edredesign/files/leslie_county_fscs_case_final.pdf?m=1658860535

47:55
Trinity, let’s connect!

57:06
Combs of Mountain Comp told EdRedesign about her recent activebystander intervention training with Green Dot, an opportunity funded and offered by Leslie FSCSstaff: “We are trying to invest in as many different people from as many different organizationsfrom the community as possible. It’s not just about throwing money around, but building ourown rapport, collaboration, and foundation. We may lose access to the money in the comingyears, but we will not lose what we have learned and what we have built together.”

57:18
In regards to that statement, have the costs associated with your work been written into the district budgets moving forward?

57:52
^^one of my favorite quotes from the study, that builds on what Jennie just shared

59:18
thanks for sharing that powerful quote, Ryan

59:32
Students are our primary customer!

01:00:03
Jorey, thanks for your question... we will have time for Q&A following the panel and will circle back then

01:03:31
HUGE win!

01:06:18
Do you all have any advice for small rural districts who are concerned that there aren't very *many* potential partners in the area? Also, that may feel like they're "competing" with their neighbors for access to services and partnerships? (As context, in California, some rural areas have a large number of small districts who all received (separate) CS funding, and are simultaneously trying to build up partnerships...

01:12:16
Getting districts around the same table and thinking win-win

01:14:14
Another quote from the case study “Robert leads the meeting, asking us to consider a certain set of questions: What makes our regionspecial? What have we seen are the effects on the pandemic on students? What are our needs? What are the benefits of the grant so far?” ”

01:14:20
^normalizing the conversation

01:15:03
Networking!

01:15:37
Family / Student Voice is another way to mute some of that scarcity mindset. When the stakeholders want change momentum, the system is primed to shift

01:16:13
Yes! We've found success bringing students from each of the districts together for the conversation.

01:16:22
Thank you so much panelists!

01:21:54
Robert, will your position continue beyond the FSCS grant? Amon, can you share some examples of the regional partners you bring into CS collaboration?

01:22:20
