Some of the disparities in NIH funding has been attributed to a lack of alignment between NIH institute priorities and those of URM investigators. You mentioned the potential for use of discretionary funding, which makes a lot of sense; however, I’m wondering if NIH institutes are considering new priorities that could better promote funding of URM investigators.
