Critique of New Urbanism - pack everyone into walkable neighborhoods in the cities and make it increasingly difficult to live outside the cities by making greenfield legally difficult to develop. If you want space (already much land has been taken out from possible use) - be prepared to pay high prices for buildable land in the future.
