March 2023 SMART Talk: Is it Yours or Mine? Pinpointing Responsibilities in a Single IRB Situation
Understanding and documenting the responsibilities of the Reviewing IRB and the Relying Institution(s) are key to ensuring compliance and promoting a streamlined review process when using a single IRB. This SMART Talk will discuss what are frequently expected to be responsibilities of Reviewing IRBs versus those of Relying Institutions, as well as which responsibilities either can assume. In addition, this session will touch on responsibilities that researchers, especially lead study teams, often must take on when they use a single IRB.
