September SMART Talk: Using AAHRPP’s I-9 Standard to Guide Reliance Arrangements
September SMART Talk: Using AAHRPP’s I-9 Standard to Guide Reliance Arrangements

The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP)’s I-9 standard requires that accredited organizations have written policies and procedures to ensure the rights and welfare of research participants are protected when an organization shares research oversight with another organization, such as under the single IRB model. Whether or not your institution is accredited, the I-9 standard can serve as a helpful resource when you’re serving as a Reviewing IRB, a Relying Institution, or both. Our panelists will provide an overview of the AAHRPP I-9 standard and explain how any institution can use it to identify and implement effective policies and procedures in support of single IRB arrangements.
